Dr. Trese was one of the pioneers, leading innovators, and pillars of the retinal research community, spearheading advancements in preventing and treating blindness in infants and children. He will be remembered for his intellect, passion, and creativity in overcoming obstacles for the benefit of patients battling retinal-related vision loss worldwide. Dr. Trese was a great and inspirational leader, friend, and colleague whose warmth, wit, and generosity of spirit knew no boundaries.
